American Builder_____________________________________
Construction always begins with detailed blueprints, but it's
rare when things go according to plan. That's the reality of building
projects. And that's the fun and drama behind "American Builder."
This reality-based home improvement show takes viewers onto the job site, into
dust and debris, and along side General Contractor Brian Gurry as he manages
real commercial, residential and industrial projects.
Unlike conventional improvement shows where everything is staged for television, "American
Builder" follows real world projects from start to finish. Viewers can
see Gurry solve problems with tricks of the trade, hard-earned experience and
sometimes a 20-pound sledgehammer. Behind every sheet of drywall or concrete
block is a problem, challenge of surprise waiting to test the skill and nerves
of Gurry and his crew. They sweat every detail and show what it takes to get
the job done. After all, the hardest thing to build in construction is a solid
reputation and their name is on the line every day.
In addition to showcasing a variety of building projects, "American Builder" also
examines other aspects of construction. Former comedian Chrissy Lavoie features
guests with tips on design and decorating in the program's "Beyond Builder" segments.
"American Builder" can be seen Monday through Friday from 6 to 7 PM/ET, exclusively on CN8, The Comcast Network. The program re-airs Monday
through Friday from 8:30-9:00 AM/ET and in New England, on Friday at 7:00-7:30
PM/ET.
